Placing a bid on an auction LOCKS up your points. You will not get them back until the close of the auction unless you are pushed out of the top five bidders prior to the close.
Bidding ALL your points on an auction also LOCKS the TAG points top up feature. If you wish to continue playing games, do not bid all your points on an auction that has days to close.
Gold and Platinum members are permitted to add and/or bid for items in the free online auction. All bidding is done in TAG points. NO real money will change hands.
All auctions are accessed through the VIEW, SELL and MINE links at the top of this page.
The top five bidders will be displayed but only the amount of the lowest bid will show. If you bid over the amount of the lowest bid you will be in the top five bidders.
We have set our online auction this way in an effort to stop 'some' members from waiting until the last second to bid just over the highest most recent bid in an effort to steal the auction. Although bidding that way may be fun for those who do it, it's very frustrating for other members who may not be online at the time or perhaps have a slower connection speed.
If you are listed as one of the top five bidders, you may or may not be the final winner of the auction.
Vendors reserve the right to place restrictions on auctions. These restrictions may include restricting winning bidders from bidding with the same vendor for 30 days after winning a bid.
Vendors of auction items, products and services reserve the right to refuse a sale to any member, without providing any reason, either before, during or after the auction has taken place. In the event that the auction has closed, the TAG points will be refunded to the winning bidder should the sale be refused by the vendor or sponsor.
Members with black marks may be restricted from bidding.
The Auction Process

If you win the bidding or are selling an item, all the information you need and the location to provide that information is listed under the MINE link above. To view an auction use VIEW, to create an auction use SELL, and to view closed auctions use CLOSED.
1. Item (includes services offered, subscriptions, discount deals or anything that is being auctioned) is placed in the auction with a minimum reserve of TAG points set on it.
2. Members bid to win the auction. The TAG points from the top five bids will be deducted from the members account at the time the bid is placed. Points will be released back to losing bidders when the auction closes or when they are pushed out of being one of the top five bids.
3. At the close of the auction, the winning bidder will be prompted to supply his postal address to the vendor (MINE) so that delivery of the item may be made. The vendor pays all delivery and postal fees. On receipt of the item, the winning bidder must confirm that the item is in good order. This will release the TAG points to the vendor and the transaction is complete. All auctions must be finalised within 21 days of the close of auction.
4. Where disputes or failure to finalise auctions occur, the following rules/penalties will come into play:
a) If the member fails to confirm receipt of the item within 21 days, the TAG points will be released to the vendor. A black mark will be placed against the members name warning vendors that the member at fault fails to follow through on auction deals.
Black marks are issued automatically by the auction program if buyers or vendors do not follow through with the auction process. Following through means providing your address information within 72 hours of the close of the auction if you are a buyer, and confirming that you have sent the item or service within 120 hours of receiving the address or contact details of the buyer if you are a vendor.
Note: Black mark members may be excluded from bidding on auctions should a vendor decide such when they add their items for auction. Black marks will be removed automatically from members after three months of Gold or Platinum membership following the issue of the black mark.
b) Prior to 21 days elapsing, member issues a warning to the vendor that the item has not yet been received. This will stop the TAG points being released to the vendor. A further 10 days will be added to the 21 days to allow for delivery of the item. At the end of the additional 10 day period, the TAG points will be released to the vendor unless the member issues a further warning. If the member does issue a further warning, the TAG points will be returned to the member, and a black mark placed against the name of the vendor unless the vendor disputes the non delivery claims being made by the member. Once a dispute order has been issued, Trader Auction Games will mediate the dispute.
c) Member receives the item and issues a warning to the vendor that the item was not in the expected condition. Member then has 21 days to return the item to the vendor for a refund of TAG points. Member pays the return delivery and postal fees. If the vendor fails to confirm receipt of the item within 21 days, the TAG points will be released to the member. A black mark will be placed against the vendors name warning members that the vendor at fault fails to follow through on auction deals.
d) Prior to 21 days elapsing, vendor issues a warning to the member that the item has not yet been received. This will stop the TAG points being released to the member. A further 10 days will be added to the 21 days to allow for delivery of the item. At the end of the additional 10 day period, the TAG points will be released to the member unless the vendor issues a further warning. If the vendor does issue a further warning, the TAG points will be returned to the vendor, and a black mark placed against the name of the member unless the member disputes the non delivery claims being made by the vendor. Once a dispute order has been issued, Trader Auction Games will mediate the dispute.
Auction Exclusions / Warning
Exclusions: Adult sex toys, personal items and services including pornographic material. Firearms, knives and explosive materials. Drugs, pharmaceuticals, cigarettes and cigars.
Warning: Trader Auction Games (TAG City) does not vet, approve or disapprove ANY items placed in the auctions. Members are warned that it is their own responsibility to satisfy themselves that the items or services they are bidding for are genuine and/or not contaminated in any way.
